    No, explain it to me.

Obviously I know what you meant and I agree with it,

but how do you know that Tony didn't give explicit direction to not stop the fight under any circumstance?

Its highly possible. That is simply a fighter taking control of his own destiny knowing the of the deadly possibilities. People everywhere applaud athletes taking more control over their careers, but somehow,

    this is different?

Each and every fighter knows the dangers of combat sports and what they are getting themselves into. Its not a secret they could die in the ring. Yea, its probably ****** to want to do so, but it is the choice of the fighter after all. Should he be protected against himself, of course,

    but then again,

its Tony who is paying his trainer and not the other way around.

Sorry but i don't agree with this comment whatsoever. Boxers are not obligated to anyone in that ring but themselves and if an injury or a tremendous beating is taking place there is nothing unhonerable about retiring to save further injury. Seriously i hope you are not one of these people who thinks that boxers owe fans their lives and well being? And I hope you don't rationalize that by saying "oh they no what they are getting into"?

Vitali Klitchko and Izzy Vasquez are two of the toughest bastards in boxing and they had to retire due to injury. Does that make them cowards? No! It makes them ***ing human and there is nothing wrong with being that!

You ***ing hypocrites need to make up your brainless minds up about this! You can't have it both ***ing ways and expect to be taken seriously do you? My God some of you have to be some of the most non intellectual and anti-thinking people on the planet. Seriously there is some massive ******ity going on around here.
Don't sweat it bra. The only ones claiming that he should have quit are Jotto fans to excuse their man's decision.

You think they give a **** that Margo was getting hurt? No, they just hating that a Mexican could show so much heart.

And for the record I have always defended Cotto's decision and his corners decision not to go on in the fight against Margarito. He has children, he has a family, and he has a wife and as much as I enjoyed watching him get his ass kicked and as much as I dislike PR boxers never not in a million years would I have wanted any perminent/serious injury happen to him. Unlike my other Mexican posters on this board I have never and never will think of Cotto as a quitter or Coward.

I don't think Margarito was ******. He's a fighter and did what he had to do. But I don't think his corner was very wise.
