No, what I meant by previous post was an actual statute in WBC rules. This topic was discussed a good while ago and it was figured out that WBC and WBA have that as a rule. I think IBF as well, because Wlad was unifying against IBragimov instead of his mandatory(Tony Thompson) which he fought next.
I might be having the belts wrong, but I dont think so, I think every major organization had that as a statute
Unifications take precedence over mandatories provided the sanctioning body is given reasonable notice. The IBF were not given reasonable notice, because Bradley took so long to sign the contract. By the time he signed, the IBF had already ordered purse bids for the mandatory. So they played by their rules.
If Haye wants to unify and if he gives the WBA reasonable notice, he will be allowed to do so.
I hope all you guys are right and we can see Haye-Vitali.Comment

I also know why the IBF stripped Devon, my problem is the WBC will be an issue aside Haye for the Klitsctko fight to happen.Comment

As FF said, provided the WBC are given fair notice, they'll let Vitali fight Haye before Solis. But that does mean the negotiations would have to be concluded very quickly. Which, given Haye's track record ... well I don't see it happening.Comment

Vitali wanted to fight Adamek before Solis, he got completely shut down.
its not about rules or someone politly provides something its about what they want.Comment

Even though Haye says he plans to retire next year, I still think he's going to try and duck the Klitschkos. I expect him to fight someone like Hopkins or Evander Holyfield because these fights will sell!
Maybe he'll prove me wrong!Comment
