Fighting weight? He just weighed-in at 144 for a 150 fight! He can make 140 easy, why make Marquez bigger and slower? Why not fight him at his best? This proves that Roach always likes Pac to have an advantage going into his fights: Cotto at 145, Margarito at 150 and now Marquez at 147.

First of all it is not as if pac going to weigh in 146lbs to fight JMM unlike Floyd. People has criticizing Manny as a catch weight king so there Roach is now asking no catch weight, that is all. IMO, Pac will struggle to reach 140lbs an additional 2bls would be fine for Pac for pure speed performance. And also this way Roach can use mind games against JMM making them think either Pac going for speed 142-143lbs or size and power 144-145lbs. Giving Roach more options in dismantling JMM.
