This is a dumb thread.....at 140 or 147 JMM is shot. And Pac is in a position to call the shots ala Floyd. If a fighter agrees to a weight then that fighter feels he can still win at the proposed weight. No one forces any fighter to fight, its all free will.

I don't define one loss as a decline and I don't like when fans write off fighters after one loss. That said, are you really going to deny the fact that people were calling for Hatton to retire after the Collazo fight? A lot of observers felt that he lost that fight. So what is your definition of a decline if a fighter getting KTFOin one fight and then struggling and almost getting put to sleep again in a supposed comeback/confidence builder match against Collazo? Don't forget that there was already talk of his personal battles outside the ring during this time also.

So yeah, I never thought Hatton was that good to begin with and PBF definitely put him on the downslope.

              so what? lol

these fighters wanted to shed pounds to fight manny cuz they thought they had a chance .... roach didn't have to negotiate thoroughly or play hard ball ... Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, ALL wanted to meet Manny at the agreed weight ...

why should Manny starve now? he is the champ ...
              champs have some perks

Unlike you, I can enjoy watching and appreciating a great fighter. Once pac retires you are gong to be kicking yourself to the grave because your blindness and ******ity will have prevented you from appreciating an all time great that comes once in a lifetime!

Marquez is not a 147lb fighter Manny would steam roll him early if this fight happens. Marquez is starting to look his age a touch and has been getting tagged alot lately IN HIS OWN DIVISION never mind two up. Pac weighed in at 144 for a light middle title fight, he could quite easily trim off 4lbs and make it slightly fairer by going to 140

Marquez will take the fight tho and he will lose
