why put in a catchweight at all? pac won't agree to go below 144 cause he doesn't have to. marquez wants this fight a lot more than manny. you guys are acting like manny's a punk if he don't stretch out or something, when the truth is marquez would earn more money for this fight than he would against anyone else, and has a lot more to gain from a win than pac does. marquez ain't floyd, pac sets all the conditions in this one.

just set it to 147, and both guys can weigh what they like. pac will come in at 144, marquez probably at 139 or something, and they'll have themselves a good match.

and actually I agree I think JMM vs Katsidis is a way tougher fight for JMM than people are saying. Kats is sturdy rugged and very strong at 135 he could wear down the older JMM if JMM's age has caught up to him

They will say that now, then as soon as HBO get there hands on it and do some build up they will start saying its now a legit fight then after the fight it will be the best win ever.

This is ridiculous! i love Manny because he's a breath of fresh air of boxing and he reminds me of the old school fighters from the golden era who belongs to be amongst the all time greats!

But roach is being a little unfair. I've criticised Floyd Mayweather for making Marquez come up weight and im going to do the same with Roach. If Manny weighed in at 144 against Margarito....I think he could do it again by coming in at 142-44 and have marquez come in at 140 or less so marquez could atleast still be competitive. It doesn't have to be a divisional title shot but just a fight to settle the score once and for all between the two.

ahhhhhhhh thats ridiculous! roach actually makes pac look worse and worse now why would this fight need to be at 147lbs?jmm will be 39, pac just weighd 144 3 days ago, thats soo absurd, statments like that justPROVE they arent willing to take strong risks,against a winner. pac needs to fight mayweather and now with drug testing up until the fight, they made margs take a piss test for drinking coffee based on speculation what hypocrites. pac has alll the advantages now against any fighter he needs to make this fights happen. we are way past the point for these games now.
