More weight means less power, slower reflexes and makes you less nimble on your feet. Marquez showed all of these shortcomings in fighting PBF at the higher weight.
I understand your point, but you're missing mine. But I disagree that gaining weight affects your reflexes and takes away your power. Marquez is a counterpuncher and he fought his style of fight that night. Adding the additional weight may have affected his speed but the way he was beat was based primarily on the difference in skill by both fighters. He was beat the same way as Mosley, Hatton, Baldomir, Judah, etc.

I'm a fan of both guys and as much as i would love to see a third fight, at 147 I give marquez zero chance of winning. 140 or lower we have a fight anything upwards than that it's not even close.

JMM and Mosley are Floyd left overs and Manny wants to fight them ,, Manny is fast becoming the Butterbean of elite fighters if he dont have an advantage Manny dont want to fight ,,,,,

Stop running from OST and fight the fight we all want , the more Manny say NO testing and the more he trys to water it down , the more Manny needs to be tested .

Not fair to JMM, atleast 140 if not 135.

If Manny wants to take 2 yrs off and then comeback and fight JMM fine , but after Floyd schooled JMM and Manny has been fighting regular its not quite the same fight is it , everybody knows its bull**** so why even consider it , that bird has flown , forget everybody at CW just take a test and fight a real fighter in a fair and square fight , sick of Manny and his manipulating title fights to advantage himself , the gatherer of paper titles .

if you want the big payday then you fight pacman in his fighting weight. you are in no position to make demands. if you somehow beat pacman then you can dictate your terms thats how it works. dont be whining and dont be a hater..

You can't say that they are too big for Pac. Pac fights anybody, right?

(I'm waiting for the *******s to say "Man, those are middle weights, their too big for Pac") So was Margocheato on fight night...
I don't think that it would be fair to Pac, although I'd favor him over both those fighters. Margarito was bigger but doesnt have the talent of either Martinez or Paul Williams. I think he can take them but there has to be a limit to how heavy AND talented Pac's opponents can be. Clearly Pac wouldnt have a problem with it though.

Of course, pac haters will just keep raising the bar with every amazing win and if he ever loses again will just focus on that. I wish every fighter would challenge themselves like Pac. It would be amazing for boxing.

maybe wifebeater should stop taking vacations instead of avoiding tough competition

, but after Floyd schooled JMM and Manny has been fighting regular its not quite the same fight is it
doesn't matter. the contracted weight was 144 lbs and wifebeater cheated jmm (who was an idiot to take the fight even with the financial penalty to wifebeater)

, everybody knows its bull**** so why even consider it ,
it's an interesting fight at 140 lbs, but not any higher.
