    Pac's defense against May

Yes, Mayweather can hit Pacquiao. But the real question is, how many times will Pacquiao hit Mayweather back.

    Pac can take punches
    Pac doesn't gas out.
We know Pac can throw 1000 punches in 12 rounds.

    Vs

    Mayweather can also take punches
    Mayweather doesn't gas out too
But Mayweather throws half of what pacquiao throws in a fight

If Pacquiao is ever to beat Mayweather, it would be on activity just as what Roach is saying.

If Pac throws 100 punches and connects even 25% of that to Mayweather's 50 to 50% connect, it's going to be almost an even fight and Pac can win on points if he up his punch stats a bit more.

I think whenever Mayweather throws a shot, Pac will retaliate 2-3x more because he's good with hitting back while getting shots are being fired at him at the same time and that's his best chance to connect in my opinion because Mayweather's guard is going to be down in a split second and I think he has the speed to be successful with it.

****, I hope this fight just get made, gaddamit.

Pac wont throw as much if he is missing.

Floyd controls his distance very well. Like we saw him do against JMM, He moves back so fast JMM was missing by a mile.
Eventhough Pac is much faster than JMM, I still think Floyd would make most of Pacs attacks fall short, and leave him open to counters.

When Pac fought JMM, he was also discouraged from attacking as much as he usually does because JMM made him pay everytime he threw punches.

Maybe Floyd can do that, but he doesnt throw combinations like JMM does.

Floyd would have to land those big single shots everytime Pac attacked.

But im not sure Floyd could cope with Pacs volume punching if he gets close enough. His anghles and power are crazy.

I agree with you but remember PAC is left handed guy. Floyd defense is tailor made for right hand fighter because they can't reach floyd with shoulder roll defense. But with a left hand opponent it will be a different story ....

Manny is not going to throw a 100 punches a round against Floyd Mayweather.

Nah, Pac will throw whether he misses or not. He wasn't landing against Clottey. It's not missing that will change Pac's mind, but getting countered. And even than it's no guarantee. Pac might not stop throwing.

          (But only AFFECTIVE aggression counts)

Pac would not be fighting a fight where he was throwing 1000 punches or anything close because he would get hit too much in return. Pac would fight much smarter, with Mayweather's defense and counter punching Pac would probably throw around 500 punches, maybe 600.

The thing is, Pac has developed his style now to where whenever his opponent throws, Pac throws back and lands. So he would get his 500 or so punches in. And I think he definitely lands 200 of that.

Pac is going to throw that much even if he's missing just to keep Floyd on the defense, believe me. Floyd can control his distance very well but Pac's footwork could negate that. Floyd has answers to what Pac can bring to the table and Pac has answers to what Floyd can bring to the table so I believe this fight will be fought with activity.

I think what Pac has learned with the Marquez fight is he cannot NOT throw punches and give breathing room. Pac WILL throw a lot of punches because he knows now that is where he's good at.
