Arlington, Texas - This past Saturday at Cowboys Stadium, Antonio Margarito took a vicious twelve round beating at the hands of Manny Pacquiao. By the ninth round, Antonio Margarito's eyes were nearly swollen shut. As a result of the punishment, Margarito will be hospitalized at least until Wednesday with a broken right orbital bone that will require surgery to repair on Tuesday, according to the fighter's manager, Sergio Diaz.

Marg wanted to continue fighting, and he was physically ok to keep fighting.

He was still very much in the fight in the middle/late rounds after his eye was shut.

IMO it's shameful that the ref didn't stop it in the 11th. I can understand up to that point, because despite the beating Margarito was walking down Pac throwing and landing, but in the 10th and 11th it was over and the ref is supposed to protect the fighter.

Robert Garcia is as responsible for what happen to Margacheato as much as the REF. A disgrace! Robert response at the post fight interview was pathetic; that why fighters have "responsible" people at theeir corners, to protect them from themselves. Of course Margo did not want the fight to be stopped, that when a knowlegable corner man steps in and says thatas enough. Oh well it's not the first time Margo has been let down by a trainer. The first time it almeot cost him his career this time it probably will.

I thought Marg was still able to come on strong in some of the middle/late rounds. And too me Pac looked gassed.

I was amazed Pac came back so strong.


And Marg was physically able to continue. Still looked strong and was throwing decent shots.
