I think it has to be genetics, those guys are specimens man. It's difficult to figure though how bag work etc can give your muscles a good enough work out to be ripped right through, I just guess that all of their muscles were working on a regular basis with the training that they did do and that's more than the average man - weights or no weights.
i admit it is rather special. when at the gym you can tell right away who used weights and who didn't. the guys who pumped seemed to have thicker necks and broader shoulders...in my case the most 'ripped' i ever looked was when i took up weights....which was a big mistake cuz i felt sluggish and slow (ala shane mosley). it's quite a trip. your on the bench press and you're tellling your mucsles to train for a heavy load at short intervals at a slow pace (a faster pace would wreck my joints). then you have the bag where you teach your mucsle to react in an explosive manner...training like this i found i was more injury prone too...lol.
Jones got busted after the richard hall (actually they both did)fight for using gear but it got swept under the carpet, how you look is mostly diet, the poster who mentioned gymnasts is dead on, no weight training there all moving their own body weight in such a controlled manner the body can do nothing else but improve
Being ripped is more a complete lack of body fat than it is about pure muscles. THey've got well defined, sculpted muscles but not massive guns by any means.

Also, I don't think Roy juiced. I know people who have jumped twenty pounds or so in only a few months, I don't think it's hard to believe Roy did. (My brother was like... 105 late winter, by mid-March he was up to 130 something, so... it's not that big of a surprise, really.)
These guys have two of the best physiques I've ever seen in a boxing ring, Eubank was perfectly sculptured and so muscular, and Roy Jones had dense muscle tissue.
Yet ****ing neither of them Ever used weights with the exception of Roy Jones preparing for the Ruiz fight to bulk up, that's apparently the first and only time that Jones ever used weights was for the Ruiz fight.
Here were their routines:
Chris Eubank's routine-
(Eubank typed this out himself on his website)
First I started my stretching, then
3 rounds of shadow boxing,
6 rounds of heavy bag work,
3 rounds of speed ball,
Skipping between 20 to 30 minutes non-stop, no break straight through.
50 sit-ups, not crunches proper sit-ups.
Stretching.
Finish with 20 hits in the stomach with a medicine ball.
That was generally the routine.
If I was sparring it was the same routine but without the bag work.
For me, boxing is about learning how to box, it is not about pushing weights. I didn't get into weights, I did push-ups but very rarely.
I ran 6-8 miles every morning, sometimes 8-10 miles and sometimes twice a day on Bodmin Moor.

Roy Jones' routine-
(this is from a guy who watched Jones in the gym and talked with him)
warm up - push ups, twists, stretch, bouncing around etc
shadow boxing 4x4
heavy bag 4x4
speed bag 16 mins
floor to ceiling 16 mins
25mins skipping
1200 situps
roy does not use weights and he has 30 sec not 1 min breaks. he does leg weights after his morning run.

WTF is up with that? Those guys had awesome upper bodies, how could they not use weights??
'Cause their black, fool. Seriously though that's is untrue about RJJ not ever having used weights prior to his fight w/ Mrs. Louise. I've seen several TV features and interviews w/ RJJ where it would be done in his place in Pensacola and he has his own weight room, now as rich as RJJ is if he wasn't into weights why would he spend thousands in building a weight room? I remember he was even showing the camera crew his favorite leg excercise FYI it was the leg extension machine. Anyway it's all about genetics I have a buddy and a few guys in the gym that I've known since elementary, and I know some of these guys aren't as crazy as I was in being a workout nut but had physiques that could easily land them in a Men's health magazine.
