Floyd is just waiting for Pac's wars with bigger men to finally exact its toll on Pac's body.

Actual age has nothing to do with it.

Pac is Roy Jones Jr., FLoyd is Bernard Hopkins in terms of longetivity.

    It's the styles.
You can not be too sure with that.

Hopkins at 35 outclassed undefeated Tito with no problem whatsoever, shut him out. Floyd is 33 and got badly stunned by Mosley. How do you know at 35-45 Floyd can fight the same if now he's showing signs of becoming past prime? Hopkins and Floyd did not start fighting at the same age. Hopkins at 33 hadn't even become anybody yet. He was fighting guys like Echols and Allen.

While Hopkins at 35, his career as a superstar boxer basically had started there. Mayweather at 35, his career might very well be over by that time, maybe 36, give or take one. At 33 Hopkins hadn't make a quarter of what Floyd has made at 33. So the hunger are/were at complete different levels at this age. You need to take that in to account. In his 20s, Floyd fought Castillo, Corrales, Hernandez, Chavez, Judah, Gatti, Baldomir, Corley, Augustus[tough fighter for a journeyman], in his 30s he fought DLH , Hatton, Marquez and Mosley. Hopkins in his 20s had only fought Roy Jones as the only good fighter. He then fought Johnson, Trinidad, Joppy, Winky, Tarver, Calzaghe, Pavlik, and next Pascal all in his 30s-40s.

So the "Floyd is waiting for Pacquiao to get old" comment is really childish imo and not very well thought of.

I doubt it because Pac is younger than Floyd. Floyd also needs his speed to be a great fighter. He's a very smart business man and is allowing this fight to grow to its highest potential. A fight in 2011 will make both fighters much more money than it would have earlier this year. People just need to wait because they are setting them selves up when they call him chicken and he turns around and signs to fight Pac. No one thought the Mosley fight would go through either. It just takes time.

The fact that he got stunned by a 39 year-old tells you something.

What's next? Hopkins waiting on Dawson to get old?

I think age is a bad way to look at it.

Simple fact, Mayweather is a more skilled boxer than Pacquiao. Lets say age became a factor for both these fighters, I think Mayweather would UD Pac no problem.

Pacquiao is in his prime. I am not saying Pac has no skill, but Pacquiaos domination defiantly has to do with his incredible speed and stamina as of right now.

Sure does, but for him to exploit Pac's aggression which must be the plan for Floyd to counter and defend he is still going to need to be fast himself. Even with his skills if he is too slow he won't be able to defend Pac's explosive combos and counter when Pac is finished throwing.

I also thought Pac has looked more and more polished each time out in terms of skills and defense, but maybe slow 1D Marg just created an illusion of that.

I agree, but I still think that you would see more success out of a slower Mayweather when compared to a slower Pacquiao.

Basically what I am trying to say.

What makes Pacquiao any different---how many wars has Pacquiao been through in his 20s more so in his 30s?

Mayweather to my knowledge has eased off in his 30s being more of a defensive fighter and which led to boring fights which people have hated him for...and he has maintained his speed and boxing skills due to that.

Pacquiao has been fighting offensively non-stop getting hit more so then Mayweather---I mean, what more can I say then the longer Pacquiao fights with these bigger guys his ring age will begin to show....period....so why not fight Pacquiao now...why does Maywather need to wait. If Mayweather's legal issues subside next year---he has no excuse to not fight Pacquiao otherwise...he's just waiting for the right time to catch Pacquiao off his prime.

I don't understand why you are trying to squeeze Pacquiao in a Hopkins/Mayweather comparison.

I simply answered punching bags comparison of Mayweather/Hopkins.
