Would It Have Made Any Difference If It Happened @ 154?

I think the win would be more relevant if it occurred at the full Jr Middleweight limit. Not saying the outcome would have been any different, but it would have legitimized Manny's claim at winning 8 titles in 8 divisions.

Manny needs to defend that title at the full 154lbs limit to legitimize his status as a Jr Middleweight Champion. Against who? There are three Mexicans out there who the WBC likes to rank near the top, Alfredo Angulo, J.C. Chavez Jr & Saul Alvarez. Or perhaps a unification fight and rematch with Miguel Cotto.

Which opponent would you prefer? Would you accept him as a Jr Middle Champion if he defends at the full limit? Do you already consider him an 8 in 8 titleholder?

Only difference would be Marg being even slower at 168 instead of 165.

          Pac just plain outclassed Marg.

I would say that a win over a legit 154lb'r legitimizes his claim to 8 weight divisions.

Marg got his ass kicked either way.

he wouldn't be so weak and slow if it was at 154.. but marg is desperate so he accepted it and the usual pac weight drain em strategy works again.

I think Margs looked strong and ready to fight, but we'll never know what would've happened if the agreed weight was the full Jr Middle limit. The only thing that drained Margs was the shot to the gut he took in the fourth round. He was not the same after that shot.

Would make it more legit, would give no one to anything to complain about. Would it make a difference on the outcome of the fight? No way, i don't know why Pacqiauo asks for the catchweights he doesn't need them.

I agree, Cotto and Margo would have been met with the same fate if those fights occurred at the full limit.
