What does this say about Margarito?

I think that he has been using plaster his whole career IMO.

Just look at how easily he has been dispatched by quality fighters without his special gloves,

Look at the Cotto and Williams fights, he both started slowly and started doing damages in the latter rounds as the plaster hardened

Obviously, Williams didn’t lose Maragrito because unlike Cotto he wasn’t willing to throw away his dignity, self respect and honour. Cotto cowardly and willingly took to knees in the face of adversity while Williams smiled and punched on.



Anyways, I am diverting away from the topic at hand.

I will suggest without plaster, Margarito would have more losses than Carlos Baldomir

Cotto quit, losing his honor.

However, what kept Williams in was his height/reach advantage. He could control Marg better at the later rounds, keeping him away much better than Cotto could.

I remember watching that fight, rooting for Williams, but watching in awe the effect of Margo's body attack later in the fight.

I agree. I just find it strange that since he got caught trying to use them he hasnt looked great in his wins well win and he has got absolutly destroyed twice, seeming like his punches are not really that effective. I don't know about whole career but definitely his saw last 5 or 6 fights prior to when he got caught imo.
