Wlad is the best HW by far

Wlad was being hand-fed fighters in Germany and his promoter underestimated Corrie Sanders and he ended up getting exposed much in the same fashion and scenario of Cotto-Corley. People thought Corley and Sanders were game and in for pay days. Boy were they wrong.

I disagree,,,he not only beat but dominated top 10 american fighters chris byrd,,,mcline,,,mercer,,and monte barret. he clearly underestimated corrie sanders and his awckward southpaw style that was his downfall. it was obvious the way he was loading up on everything and walking straight in showing no respect. he got caught in the process and hasnt been the same since. the pre sanders wlad would have boxed sam peter's ears off,,,but at this point in wlads career,,I have to pick peter by knockout. I think it goes pretty much the way the brewster fight went. thats on the assumption that peter has a good chin. its still a dangerous fight tho for peter

I would much rather watch Wlad fight than Rahman & Ruiz.

But....nobody blindly supports those two, deservedly so.

If you guys took the "I just like watching him fight" stance....nobody could argue.
But, you're still talking about lofty accomplishments coming his way, when it's been shown he has terrible flaws. Many of you have bought this "he was poisoned" B.S, to excuse his loss to Brewtser. That's a disgrace....something I only expect from children or dopey Tyson diehards.

i would never say that wlad was "poisoned" when he lost to Brewster, that is hilarious.

but ive also seen him fight enought times to know that something was wrong that night for whatever reason. he has gone longer and fought at just as fast a pace before so i am going to look at it as a total anomaly until he does it again.

His downfall was Sanders left hand on his face. Any heavy handed fighter that lands flush on Vlad is gonna' floor that boy. Sanders exposed the Ukranians chin and anybody else that can reach it will have success.

Wlad is 40-3-(40) That knockout percentage is very impressive......and I laugh when people talk about "level of opposition". Arguably the best resume in the division IMO. Better than Ruiz.

If Wlad could have gotten LL in trouble like Vitali did, he definently would have had a better chance of finishing the job. I dont know if Wlad could take the punches that LL landed on Vitali though. Wlad, offensively, is on a higher level than Vitali, but I think that's the only advantage Wlad has over Vitali

as much as I'd like to agree with that... look at when Wlad fought Brewster. He should have easily won that fight and would have if he just threw in one or two more punches as Brewster was wobbling around before he got knocked down.

This is not clear yet. I think we have to see Wlad-Peter to make the conclusion.

Wlad's defense is his weakest side, and I hope Stewart has worked on it.

Wlad with a (much) improved defense is what we need at the moment.

Stewart has worked on Wlad's defense from what I saw against Castillo. Wlad was actually moving bobbing and weaving, instead of keeping all of his body still but his head..

Think Wlad was better off with Fritzy Sdunek. But if Wlad wins this fight in impressive fashion. I will change my opinion. I think the only reason he left Fritzy is because he is under contract to only train universum promoted fighters.
