so he was in a war against Marquez in 08 and then hit his prime in late 08 and now is past prime in late 2010

don't know but i think he's going downhill.

he's 32 this year. that's ancient for slugger types which pac was for most of his career. a 15 going on 16 year career with almost 60 fights.

He was starting slip in the Cotto fight. Hes definitely on the down slope, but he is still at a level where I can't see anyone touching him.

His defense was actually pretty good tonight, watching the fight back in slow motion, only thing that was really catching him clean were some jabs.

How can Floyd be past his prime. He don't have nearly as many fights as manny and is rarely in any wars. Look at Marquez. Floyd ain't past is prime.

I was being sarcastic but you could make an argument that this isn't his best weight...he isn't as fast as he used to be...I think he's 32 or 33...the handspeed will always be there, his legs have slowed a bit, the reflexes still seem to be there for the most part...

Floyd wouldn't fight manny in a como and all the *****'s know this. Thus, the only option is to negate anything Manny does... but I'm still wondering why Mayweather is even in the conversation. He's fight twice in 3 years and one of those guys was a lightweight, why is he even used in the same breath as Manny? Because he beat Oscar (which 4 people had already done) or beating Hatton? Maybe it was the 6 or 7th loss he put on Gatti's record, maybe it was loss 13 he gave to Baldomir...

Did I really just compare a guy whose best wins are Gatti, DLH, Hatton and Baldomir with a guy who not only actually FACED but beat Margrito and Cotto. Then stopped on morales, barrera and decimated DLH and Hatton worse than Floyd did... why do we even mention Floyd again?

that's what i'm getting at with pac.

people think prime is when you're blowing people out and past it is when you start struggling with people.

it doesn't work that way. styles , opponents , etc. are all factors.

one can argue pac's and floyd's primes were when they struggled with marquez and castillo while they blow out marg and mosley on the slight downside.
