no...u obviously dont kno how floyd fights??? this version of margarito would have been destroyed a la baldomir. margarito hardly looked special in there. he wasnt exactly mauling manny man...he got off but he took a lot to get what he did. he wouldnt have got most of that against mayweather's defense first style.

its funny how little the mayweather haters actually pay attention to the sport of boxing. they constantly say mayweather duck margirito even when arum said floyd would have fought him but instead chose better buisness decisions. haters only believe and listen to what they want to even if it isnt the truth.

I don't think so. I really don't. Manny Pacquiao was amazing tonight and showed us once again, why he is the best Pound 4 Pound fighter on the planet. And we can now see why Mayweather declined the fight with the PacMan.

No, Mayweather could not. Mayweather also does not possess the kind of explosive, powerful, consistent combination punches at which Manny is so sophisticated. Let me make one point.

If nobody has ever told you: STYLES MAKE FIGHTS. Frazier gave Ali trouble and Foreman lifted Frazier off the ground! A supposedly "Old" Ali, who many people thought would be seriously hurt by Foreman's bombs, managed to endure and roll with every shot and much to Dundee's disdain, Ali outsmarted George from the ropes.

Not trying to turn this into boxing 101 or anything, my point is simple. No, Floyd could not do that to Marg. Marg's face will likely look much better after a Floyd fight. Also, as I previously stated: the explosive punches from Manny (coming at angles that I didn't even know existed), tend to graze the face in such a way with such force that his opponent gets chopped up.

Mayweather vs Margarito Prediction: VERY slow first half of fight. Margarito trying to come forward with bombs and maybe even catching Floyd, assuming Margarito starts out fast that night. If he gets off to a slow start, there is no way I can see him beating Floyd. After 4 rounds, when Floyd sees what Margarito has, and where his punches are coming from, this fight will be over. Floyd's defense is better than Manny's ESPECIALLY against orthodox fighters with whom Manny USUALLY struggles.

I don't see Floyd stopping Margarito because nobody (except Shane Mosley) can seem to stop el tornado de tijuana. I don't think Marg wins more than 2 or 3 rounds against Floyd but he may win more than he did against Manny. If Marg catches Floyd clean in rounds 1-4, I believe he may win, but with Floyd's stamina and apparent obvious recovering ability after taking a huge bomb from one of the hardest punchers p4p in the sport, there is no guarantee that this will even be enough.

If Marg can somehow be ahead 2 points or so going into the 4th, he has a great shot. If not, we will see a BORING 1 sided fight between Mayweather and the battering ram (Marg) with Floyd winning a lopsided UD 117-111. May even be worse than that.
