Jones lost EVERY round after round 2
i dont know who these damn judges were, but its obvious they had "special instructions"
I had a bet with a friend Jones would be given the decision, despite everyone in the room marveling at how Karass controlled the fight and landed more accurate punches.
hey, thats why boxing is a effing jokeComment

Jones' people should have had hired the Calzaghe/Manfredo referee. That fight would have been stopped about 5 times in the 2nd round.Comment

Mike blew his load in the 2nd....that let Karass in the fight IMO.....Mike made a real ****** mistake in that 2nd round.....he got excited and went crazy....but hey, fighting on HBO PPV under the brightest lights he's been under can do that to young fighters....Mike literally fought MOST of the fight with no legs...AFTER Mike found himself again, he picked Karass apart and left me with the impression that if not for that wild ass 2nd round.....he beats the **** outta Karass....I don't remember the scores....all I know is that one of them was way way off....maybe courtesy of Arum's check book!!Comment

It's hardly a problem, and unlikely to happen again, although most guys learn not to blow themselves out within their first few amateur fight's, even 3-rounders.
Maybe Karass wasn't as badly hurt as he thought, but they will have done their homework, so they shoulda known that he's one tough sob.
Either way, Jones loaded up on well over 100 punches in that salvo, which is unjustifiable. Karass couldn't have been that hurt or you woulda had him out of there by the 20th punch. And Karass never stopped punching back, he did a great job of keeping himself in that fight.
But you could see when Miike got his second wind late in the fight he started to take control.
That fight was his opportunity to look good, and he blew it.
Well done Mike for finishing the fight with no legs, and for edging your way back into the fight late after Karass controlled a lot of the earlier rounds.
Mike learnt a lucky lesson, but he lost that fight and I'm sure he is aware of that. Bad luck for Karass. Boxing, what a ****ty way to make a livingComment
