I went to a pub and paid to watch the fight, why?

I knew it wasnt going to be a great fight, but it was the sense of occasion, I had a good night, a bit of a laugh and enjoyed myself.

people complaining about it are idiots, if you were expecting Ward/Gatti 4 then you only have yourself to blame, it was a timid counterpuncher vs an agressive counterpuncher, it was always going to start slow, haye was always going to win.

the fight went exactly the way the form book suggested.

You guys are very harsh on us British Boxing fans yknow, unfortunately our coverage of sport over here is very cheesy and hype based.

There are many of us who recognise Haye has done nothing at heavyweight and who totally see and understand the con jobs these PPV fights are. Even elements of our ridiculous media are calling for a Klitschko fight now.

Also it seems to me, and this is just my personal view, that the majourity of the fans you see at these venues are quite often footy (soccer) fans wanting to see a scrap rather than the type of purist fan who would go home and stay up until 4am here for Paq V Marg.

Personally I view HBO style coverage with envy, I believe your casual fanbase follows suit with the level of coverage a sport gets.

the U.S fans dont stay up till 4 in the morning every fight night do they!,Do they HAVE to watch streams of hbo and showtime every fight like we do,hell no!.

we dont have as much quantity of top fighters,but we have good quality of boxers in our time,especially for the size of the U.K.
