ARLINGTON, Texas - Friday's weigh-in for tonight's WBC junior middleweight title clash was interesting for two reasons. WBO welterweight king Manny Pacquiao came in much lower than anyone expected when he tipped the scale at 144.6-pounds. Antonio Margarito, ripped and chiseled beyond belief, made the contract weight of 150-pounds. There have been some insiders who believe Margarito stuggled down to make the weight. Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, is one of them.

pac is underweight but thats an advantage and can be a liability too, a bigger 160 lb frame like margs may not get even hurt by a jr welterweights punch, its possible.as far as margs being slower he has these long arms of course hes slower always has been, it didnt keep him from being competetive with williams or martinez whom are both very fast. this fight will boil down to one thing if margs can take pacs punch or not, if he can its going to be very hard for manny he can run but he cant hide he will have to exchange to keep margs off of him at some point.margs biggest advantage is he doesnt wait he never stops throwing.margs still owns a world record fro most punches thrown so speed isnt everything.

Right, everyone has forgiven everyone on Resto's team for what happened to Collins even after Resto and Lewis served two years in prison and both lost their boxing licenses. Everyone has forgiven Donte Stallworth for killing Mario Reyes after serving 24 days of a 30 day sentence and was suspended a full season. If you want to say Roach deserves to be insulted, how the hell could you not say Margarito doesn't deserve to be?

Look, I give Margarito the benefit of the doubt. I believe he didn't use those handwraps earlier or knew about them against Mosley, but I just don't give a damn about how people think they should lay off Margarito for that.

martinez,mayweather,williams, angulo, even a cintron. the last 2 are big maybes, but very possible.especially angulo I dont see pac walking through an angulo right hand at alll. great matchups would be, berto, the winner of the alexander,bradley,maidana,khan faceoff, kirkland, even a 3rd jmm fight provided its at a weight that jmm is effective at like 138lbs, pacmade jr welter pretty much yesterday, so saying hes too big is baloney.all of those fights would be more interesting than pacs last 5 for the simple reason that most of these guys are in winning form none are coming off brutal ko losses, like the guys pacs been fighting. now I agree some of these guys are just too big for pac but for roach to say " theres no challenges left to fight" thats the biggest bull ive heard from his mouth yet. I fokken garuntee u a betro fight would sell handsomley ,just because the guy is undefeated and heavily hyped by hbo, or any of these fights would.diaz, clottey, cotto, hatton are fights pretty made for pac too look good and make easy money , theres so many welterweight champs beltholders that are less known that can give pac a challenge. maybe pac beats em all but to say" theres no more challenges is ******", theres no more safe fights ur willing to risk a loss on is the truth.there are plenty of challenges and theyd all sell the same mayweather being the biggest they just dont want a risk. they want mayweather because there is soo much money involved in due event of a loss its acceptable.
