Conversely, if Pac wins, will he surpass SRR as the greatest of all time for overcoming such a large and dangerous fighter as Margarito?

      Vote and discuss.

Since when has he been close to a top five ATG?

I love this: 'will he surpass SRR as the greatest of all time for overcoming such a large and dangerous fighter as Margarito'

For one thing, Margarito doesn't pose nearly the threat Jake Lamotta did. Robinson came in to fights with Lamotta weighing 147 and Lamotta 160. How does beating a past prime fighter who has been dominated and knocked out by a shot, old man recently make him better than Robinson. It's only five pounds for crying out loud! It's not thirteen nor is it against a prime fighter at his best weight.

Jesus, talk about making a mountain of a mole hill.

Anyway, no it won't really effect his standing as an ATG. Whether he wins or loses his best work has been done in the past. The only thing that will effect his standing from here on out is a win over Mayweather. Fighting guys like Margarito etc doesn't do much.

        Tony beats both IMO
Agreed, but at least Manny had the stones to fight him in the first place. Unlike the coward ducker.

Omg... did you just start watching boxing? Every reputable commentator, trainer and boxing expert has pegged him as not only a living legend and national treasure but top 5 ATG.

You can't be serious. Robinson and Lamotta fought a lot of bums and had a ton of losses on their records. They only fought each other so many times because they ran out of bums.

Mayweather beat that same shot old man you just described so how is he worthy? He's also a coward and a wife beater who hasn't had a serious fight since 2002 after he realized prime pressure fighters beat him.

Pac is top 5 ATG irregardless of what Fraud does. Besides, he'll probably be in jail soon.

Yeah, common knowledge to fools like you. To anyone who knows their history and knows that there have been ATG's who have fought much more dangerous guys who have more advantages and were better fighters than Margarito, it's not so impressive.

          Top 5 ATG.....

I suppose he's higher than Greb in your opinion? I mean really, what's beating an undefeated, prime ATG LHW and HW in his prime who weighs more than 12 pounds over Greb at the weigh in compared to beating Margarito?

Sure it makes him the GOAT.

Yeah man, totally. They only fought total bums LAMO pwn! ****, Robinson only fought 18 world champions in a time of one champion and only beat 10 HOFers. Total pwnage. Pac pwns that record easy! LAMO....Pac rulez!

LaMotta was not even close to Pac also only beating about 7 or 8 HOFers with only one win over the greatest fighter of all time....I mean, the GOAT after Pacquiao of course.

Listen to this clown, lamotta was a great fighter back in the day but face it he's a poor mans margarito.
Margarito and pacquiao would both own SRR and Lamotta. Sure they were ATG back in the day but in todays game they would get owned if u like it or not.

Old fighters are over rated. Have you seen greb fight? Not saying Pacquiao is the greatest of all times, just that old (especially really old) fighters are way over rated. The guys of modern times could hang with anyone.

                    Uhh... heres an "impressive" sample.
