Comments Thread For: Gbenga Oloukun Destroys Konstnain Airich In Four

By Alexey Sukachev - At Volgelsang Halle in Stralsund, Germany, fringe heavyweight contender Gbenga Oloukun of Nigeria resurrected his career in a big way with a one-punch fourth round knockout over Konstantin Airich.

A monster left hook put Airich (16-3-2, 13 KOs) down and virtually out at the start of the fourth round. Oloukun (19-6, 12 KOs) followed the highlight reel knockdown with an onslaught forcing referee Heinrich Muechmert to wave the contest off after a signal from German's corner, coming 28 seconds into the fourth round. This is fake professional boxing german way ! They build up fake records and all their boxers lose eiher when they fight away from germany or face credible opponents .

Oloukun looks to unload those big punches always and is wide open for crisp straight counters. But credit to him. He came in good shape and the KD was from a wonderful and brutal left hook.

Airich never looked to be up to much, especially when his manager had to pull out every trick in the bag to protect him against an old Danny Williams, yet still losing.

Can't see either of these two amounting to anything other than being exciting gatekeepers for rising prospects, although they do have the power to make it interesting

Nice to see Gbenga get the KO win.

He came in on ONE DAYS notice. He's always been willing to fight anybody, anywhere, anytime.

During the past year, he's been in with some of the best young heavyweights in Europe (Pulev, Platov, Helenius).

I remember gbenga caught pulev with a monster shot in their fight but pulev showed no reaction at all! That tells me pulev has a very good chin
