If Margarito threw nothing but wide looping punches I wouldn't give him a chance. However there is a pretty sweet method to his madness.
When he comes in close he first gets u with a crushing half jab half hook to the body. Then with the right hand he short hooks u to the head and is pretty effective with it close range. That is what makes him dangerous.... if he had to keep a distance to be effective he wouldn't be able to beat half the people he beat including cotto.
