Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley: Matthysse Was Robbed of Win Against Judah

It's funny because when I was watching in the early round Lampley kept acting like Matthysse was'nt doing ****. He was circling and boxing istead of coming forward like they though he would. He had Judah confused then he picked it up. Judah wanted him to be more aggressive at the begining of the fight.

No such thing as a robbery in a close fight. Bad comments by Bradley, Judah picked off most of those body shots. Judah was doing such a great job at picking off those body shots that Matthysse took 9 rounds to start attacking Judahs chin.
I guess Bradley is afraid he won't get credit when he punches the gloves of Alexanders instead of actually hitting him in the body. Still picking Bradley to win that fight, but that Judah/Matthysse fight was far from a robbery.Last edited by starkiller; 11-12-2010, 10:35 AM.

terrible robbery, I fell bad for Matthysse getting robbed like that. Zab was clinching for dear life the last 2 rounds. Had this been an old school 15 round fight Zab would've been ktfo in the 13th

Robbed, naw. Easy fight to score. 7-5, 114-113 slab. Good judging. Matthysse plodded to much the first 8 rounds, then had Zab dead to rights, and didn't get him. I actually give Zab credit, he was way ahead going into round 10, looking very fresh( on zab scale). If fights were 4-6 rounds he might be one of the best around.

In a street fight the guy getting the best at the end is the winner, in boxing each round is scored individually, if after 9 rounds your card was anything but 7-2, or 6-3 Judah, your name might as well be Gale Van Hoy.

its true that body punches don't get as much credit as head blows, but the whole point of investing in body punches is to slow your opponent down enough so you can go head hunting and get a stoppage.
mattysse is getting a lot of props in this loss.
but bradley said that zab's problem is that he stays within punching range. i don't think it really matters. once you get pass the 4th round, judah goes into cruise control and if you up the pressure he will wilt.Last edited by Pullcounter; 11-12-2010, 02:20 PM.

Yeah, Zab was so impressive with that ******* jab he has, and his beautiful footwork.
Even if Judah was picking off some of Matthyse's shots, he still would have lost those rounds because Judah didn't do squat in many rounds.
If Judah's jab was so good why wasn't there a single red mark, scratch, or bump on Matthyse's face?
Ca mon, man. A weak jab and good footwork don't win fights. Matthyse might not have done much in the first 9 rounds, but it was enough for him to win at least 3 rounds. Do the math.
And for those who say that Judah was picking off Matthyse's punches, how do you explain the last 3 rounds of the fight? Or are you saying that had little effect on why Judah was running as if he was participating in the NYC marathon.
