DiegoFigeko, the fight is an official IBF eliminator. The winner will fight the IBF champion -- the winner of Byrd v Williams.

Most heavyweight fights at the moment mean absolutely nothing. Its going to be an action packed fight. Why do you think people pay money for Ward vs Gatti and Morales vs Barrera. Even Corrales vs Castillo. To see wars and unexpected fights. We will see if Peter can get in there with the big man and heavy hands of Wlad and if Wlad still has what it takes to remain in the heavyweight division. Forget about the meaning of the fight, just enjoy the KO

Actually I think it's a WBC eliminator for some reason...which is really odd unless of course Vitali expects he's going to lose to Rahman and/or Wlad expects to lose to Peter.

Hey, I agree. I wasn't saying it won't be a good fight. I will NEVER get tired of seeing Wlad get annihilated. Any month of the year, brother

Well my prediction is that Vitali is going to run right over Rahman and he was just hope in the weak heavyweight divison and after his performance against Barrett I give him no chance. Wlad vs Peter is more of a true heavyweight fight, screw the belts they are meaningless. If Peter beats Wlad I think he should continue his career by knocking out Ruiz and then putting Toney the Phoney into retirement as well.

Well, I know Peter was the WBC's #1 contender and he was gonna fight Sinal Sam for the shot, but then we got Peter vs. Wlad (where Wlad was in position to fight for the IBF's eliminator). So I really don't know, but you can bet either organization (IBF or WBC) will have the winner of this fight as their #1 contender

Yepp, if Wlad vs Peter ends up being a very exciting fight both the organizations would be happy to rank either fighter as #1 to try to bring some spark back to the sport.

Yes, he had the right to go after either the WBC eliminator by fighting Sam or the IBF elimantor by fighting Wlad. He has chosen to fight Wlad. I wonder why.

                      lol, yeah wonder why

fight a guy who is tough to KO or fight the guy with the worst chin maybe in the history of the division.
