There goes JMM's priceless posession . . . he was too cautious not to lose those belts . . . DAMN now it got stripped.

His WBA superchamp title will also be taken and he is to be relegated as a mandatory challenger to Chris John, the regular title holder.

good for him. the next thing he should do now is throw away the other belt and move to 130 lb division. there is pacquiao & barrera, either of the two will earn him not less than a million. but first things first, he should look for another manager, one who would advise him on good fights not on overpricing himself! or if he cant do this, he might just opt for an early retirement.

Sounds like a bunch of rubbish to me....I cant believe how crappy that mandatory is that his promoter (ARUM) didnt stand beside him...It is only 50k throw him on the undercard of pac vs morales and I am sure he wouldnt take a huge hit......

I was hoping to see John/Marquez/Chi/Juarez all in some kind of unification fights.....

JMM is a great fighter if his opponent has great offense. If his opponent is weak, the fight is weak. That's the problem with counter punchers. RJJ is an excellent counter puncher but he's also possessed a great offense. Same with Mayweather.

Pacman/Barrera/Morales vs JMM are dream matches. All three will come for JMM and JMM will make it an electrifying match. But he has to remember, NO ONE BESIDES BOXING FANATICS KNOW WHO HE IS. It is the casual fans who bring in the money.

well he didn't have much choice did he........he ****ed up by not accepting the 750K for a rematch with the pacman, and now he is left to lament his mistake.

$750k pays more in the long run coz if he got by Pacman in the rematch, he'd defintely get a million bucks for a match with Barrera or Morales. Pacman was his ticket to fame but quickly was forgotten when Pacman fought Morales.

I never understood Marquez when it came to Pacquiao. I mean 750k in the rematch is more than he received in their first fight and it really wasnt that much of a ball buster fight for him. I mean he got thrashed in the first round not the 12th and rose from the canvas 3 times and came back and laid it out onto Pacquiao. He went 11 rounds after the brutal beating so I dont see what the fear was.....

JMM is the Hopkins of the featherweight division....He lost his lottery ticket when he won it and failed to cash in.

Also all he had to do was jab and use his normal style to defeat Pacquaio in the rematch and he would have went against Morales and got his million dollar paydays. I think JMM would have beat Morales and even if he used his normal boring style he would have had the fame Winky is getting from the Trinidad fight....His boring style would become appealing because of the name he beat...

You need to email this reply to JMM. Maybe he'll hire you as his advisor or analyst coz this is the kind of advice he needed. There would be a 4 player 'round Robin between Morales, Pac, MAB and JMM. All four could each have trilogies. Damn thats a lot of classics right there!

Goes to show that beating Manuel Medina and Derrick Gainer in '96 would make you a champion, not in 2003.
