Greatness? I dont see it. A split between a great fighter twoards the end of his career, doesn't equal greatness. Plus I think Roy can win the rubber match with clean effective counter punching.

well, who has tarver beaten: jones, johnson (lost to both of them too), and.... some1 help me out here...

the fact that he lost to them is irrelevant.
he lost a extremly close fight with roy, then knocked him out.
lost another close sd, then got his revenge in pretty convinving fashion.
like i said before, he lost two VERY close and controversial fights, and then came back and got the better of both of those guys.
i believe he is on his way to greatness

Tarver isn't great, he has had one great moment in his career. Buster Douglass also had one great moment. That should explain it pretty well...

nah, he beat other quality contenders like johnson as well, and his first fight against rjj was extremly close and disputed as well.

Pfffft, no hating on Douglas. When the man had heart he killed everybody... that's hardly Tarver's problem.

hes 23-3... only fought 26 fights, and yeah hes avenged all his losses, but it would be better if he didn't lose them PERIOD.
