Boxeoboriqua, the mexican cop guy, benjamin and the rest of you useless pride having dimwits have no idea what you're talking about. all i'm reading is general hate filled rants that lack substance(from both parties).

I'm latino, my dad is venezuelan and my mother is from ecuador. but i've got plenty of puerto rican friends and in 2010, several ppl in my family, from both sides, have married and have had children with puerto rican women(myself included). I've also acquainted plenty of mexicans here in NY and even a few that i actually consider friends now that i'm a bit older. and if i were a latino in LA or Miami, the cultures i'd mesh with would more than likely be different.

My point is, you guys have retorted some really hateful **** that even me, a dude thats not PR or Mex, feels offended. Because even though, i'm not the most patriotic guy and i don't always root for someone that has a similar background and i have plenty of friends here in NY from all different backgrounds and i deal with different ethnicities at work all the time, i love being latino.

the problem here is that you guys are uttering a lot of truths(and half truths) without stating the reasons behind them. fact is, lots of mexicans do live in over crowded situations here in NY and are illegal. And yes, puerto ricans in NY have been prone to drugs and public assistance since the 70's. Thing is, you guys are talking about it as if each group welcomes the situation they're subjected to. once upon a time, neither group lived that way back home. migrating here, looking for opportunity and sacrificing everything for family comes with a toll(i don't care where you are from). And lack of education, the english language, pressure amounting from lack of decent work and decent wages can wear communities down. And you know what THEY do. THEY give us alcohol, drugs and guns. you're too busy pointing fingers and mocking each other without opening your eyes. crabs in a barrel man. you guys need to cut it out.

GOOD POINTS i am guilty of going over board and getting drawn to this B.S. after reading alot of the reply's on both sides it is a little emberrasing for both sides to go at it like that only makes both sides look dumn .I apologize to all the good ricans and mex that dont fall into this crap.Sorry for the editorial boys but lets stick to boxing.

Marquez is great regardless yes he's been ko'd , yes he's been in countless wars

He was beat by a young prime fighter its nothing to be all happy about , marquez is about 5 yrs past his prime.

One thing I hate from a boxers when they loss is fu!!!! excuses. Everybody was a witness of what happen the last Saturday. Juanma kick Marquez ass and make him quit. First was his shoulder , 2nd Juanma was dirty and now he said the referee save Juanma. Everybody knows Juanma was already recovery by the time of the point deduction.
