If there was actually something in those gloves that was anything but rolled up gauze that was totally harmless, they would've charged him.

The csac didn't have **** on them.

Where are the bricks? Why isn't hbo showing them? Why weren't they posted in every big paper that was calling for Margarito's head after that whole thing?

Where is Iole and Dan Rafael and their big bad photos?

There was none because if people saw what was actually in those gloves this story would have no more legs cuz' everyone would lol.

I dislike the scumbag but charging him with attempted murder would be a waste of time and money.

If Roach truly felt this way, then why sign to fight an attempted murderer? He either attempted to cheat and did his time so he deserves to continue his career, or he's an attempted murderer. Can't have it both ways.

Would it be correct, in your view, to say that the punishment Margarito received was a formality? Ie. that nothing potentially advantageous was found in the wraps, but that minor substances/materials were present that technically shouldn't have been there, and so 'correct' procedure was followed? And that if it was a 'serious' case, Margarito would've been hit with a lifetime ban?

Is that how you see it?

                      That's precisely right.

It was political since bureauc**** like the ones at the CSAC love to have their name in the press for "cleaning up boxing".

The case was bull**** from the start. That **** Karen Chappele wanted a lifetime ban before any lab tests were even done.

"look, we're tough on crime in boxing"...
