So if your brain has partial motor functions and you can sort of walk you are quitting if you don't get up after taking tramendous blunt force trauma to the head.

        I see

Seriously boxing fans have to be the most downright braindead ***ing imbaciles on the planet.
It's the same story as Pryor-Arguello II, to cite another big fight in history where the same thing happened. Arguello could've gotten up, but he knew what he would've gotten for it. His will and his heart were broken.

I hate to say it of Morales, but the same happened to him over the course of that trilogy - his will and heart were broken, he knew there was nothing to get off the canvas for except self-annihilative glory and so he stayed there. He'd been in many wars, though, was burned out and running on empty. I don't see any dishonor in his refusal to fight on, but only find sadness that it had to go down that way.

Marco's goal was to last 12 rounds...i think going 12 was a bigger goal than winning the fight

Erik on the other hand, got caught up in a firefight...he tried to go toe to toe and when he had enough, he gave up...

i have more respect for someone who at least tried

I always thought that at the end of the fight that the lights were on but nobody was driving.

And seriously what kind of souless human being would of wanted Erik to get up anyways?
IMO Morales had already proved more than enough in his career and in the first fight with Pacquiao and shouldn't have even been in the ring with him the 3rd time, so I don't hold anything against him.

No Arguello was semi ***ing concious there is a diffrence! Seriously you really think that arguello or Morales had enough wits about them to sit there and actually make a decision on weather or not to continue?

You do know that they were getting punched in the head by future hall of fame fighters right?
