People are exaggerating because of what transpired after.

Perhaps Marquez shouldn't bend down if had Jaunma was so hurt?

Lopez was far more hurt in the Mtgwa fight. He didn't commit any fouls or what not.

    He fought through it.

If Marquez would have kept his damn head up, Juanma would have done the same thing he was doing the whole fight.
he was hurt and whobbily not only that after he got rocked by marquez he kept on receiving punches without being able to land his own what did he do push him down and hit him behind the head he had about 45 seconds to recover that is way to much ****ing time to refresh himself. for me thats a ***** move like trinidad did against vargas low blow him 3 times.

Marquez almost Koed Juanma, albeit a shoulder injury, and disadvantages in size, activity, age, reach, etc. A rematch is a must, great fight. This shows just how great Marquez was in his prime.

Lucky?? He deestroyed him, idiot. Besides, he ran from the Mexicans, just won by points and gifts. He is a coward like all the Rican Negros.

lol....wow a lot of hate here...I'm Boricua but men so much hate...just enjoy this rivalry(PR vs MEX)...the best in boxing hands down, you see the warriors that step into the ring and they respect each other...lol...I wont deny that I come to these blogs and trash talk a little too...lol...but I do enjoy the rivalry. Mexico has great warriors which I like watching, usually if they are fighting a non-puertorican fighter I want them to win...been puertorican will always go for the PR fighter...but I do respect any person that step into a ring to put food in his family table, even if is mexican...hahaha....

I'm glad to see this post, let me clarify...I'm not happy that Marquez got hurt or was hurt b4 the fight, but the way that came across at the end of the fight it looked like an excuse, and discredit to Juanma's victory...and I did lost respect for him after the fight...but he's a great warrior, now I see that he was really hurt...The Marquez bothers are great fighters and I'm a fan of both of them, this time Rafael fought a boricua...

I know I'm going to get some hate for this but in a way this injury maybe benefit Rafael. Just finished watching an interview of Juanma and his corner and they were talking that they were expecting Rafael's right hand to be the main weapon and made their strategy around this. Juanma was going to counter and jump in to make it a brawl in the middle rounds (which happen after the 6th rnd in the fight) that Marquez counter punching and left hook threw them off for a few rounds...they knew by making the fight a brawl Juanma's youth and strength will be too much for an older Marquez...

i can't wait to see Gamboa vs Lopez. they both have power and speed, but i think Gamboa has more power. I was surprised that Marquez dazed Lopez like that and did it a few times & he's not a power puncher. Imagine what Gamboa would do to him...

Damn, So JuanMa hit him in the jaw so hard the "fracture" rode down into his shoulder too?

I call BS. He is out because he saw the boogie man from PR chasing his ass down in the ring.
