toney had more timing than speed but he had fast hands. bhop was never fast but good timing and knew when to pick his shots. chavez had great pressure and took a shot to give a shot.
I think the Ring had him #1 in 97 after he beat Whitkaer....
However, IMO he lost that fight so I always thought Roy was #1.
Fair enough I agree about the Whitaker fight but he definately had a strong case to be number 1, Its hard to remember that far back but he actually use to win fights back then
