The first 9 rounds are great if you need something to help you get to sleep.

I would lean towards Devon based on his will and I think he would jump on Zab if he got him hurt. Zab fights in small spurts now but I still think he could take Amir. Bradley would destroy Zab at this point and so would Maidana and Ortiz. Hopefully Zab will win the title, get a few nice pay days and get out before he get's hurt really bad because to me Saturday wasn't about how good Matthysse is but how much Zab has slipped because old Zab would've destroyed this dude.

          it was a huge letdown...

the showtime card was pure quality last saturday...made me proud to be a boxing fan and the commentators are much more insightful

then switched to the judah fight and almost fell asleep until judah hit the canvas

Don't know about that, that Zab Judah claimed he'd skip training sessions and didn't take opponents serious like Baldy. Matthysse to me was just Baldy with power.

I feel that the fight took a big turn in the eighth after Judah was headbutted a second time. He started looking very upset and lost his composure.

But for the first seven rounds he had neutralized Matthysse with a good jab and ring generalship.
He didn't get pummeled in the first seven rounds, but he surely didn't put it on a vastly outclassed Mathysse. Composure and focus have always been his Achillise Heal, but it was his dynamic explosiveness that made us want to watch him. As a man he seems more calm now than he did a few years ago, but let's face it, he did nothing on Saturday to make me feel he beats any of the top 4 at JWW. I like Romebyko's thought of a Judah - Ortiz fight, but for entertainment's sake only. Bradley would preesure him into submission, and Kahn boxes his ears off. Even a raw Maidana would make Zab wilt. I think Zab lost his prime to a lack of professionalism and out of control life outside the ring. There's no way he climbs back to undistupted status, and that sux because there's nobody outside of Brooklyn that would want to see him on top again than me.

Baldy was far more relentless. If Baldy had power he would've stopped Zab easily. Matthysse fought his best fight and still came up short. Baldy was big and rugged. If he had a bigger punch he would've been a problem for a lot of people. That first knock down for Matthysse looked more like the air from the punch instead of a punch. That fight was more about what Zab isn't than what Matthysse is.
