Comments Thread For: Juanma's Fight Eyed For March, Marquez Rematch Possible

After the Las Vegas battle between Juan Manuel Lopez and Rafael Marquez, both sides expressed their interest in a rematch. Juanma's next fight is being explored for the month of March at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum. Juanma stopped Marquez before the start of the ninth round. Marquez injured his shoulder in the fight. Juanma and his promoters, Puerto Rico Best Boxing and Top Rank, are interested in Marquez being the March opponent. They see big dollar signs if the rematch happens in Puerto Rico.

When does Caballero fight happen? Caballero is a worthy challenger. What does Caballero have to do to get Juanma in the ring with him? Juanma is a punk ever since he associated himself with Margaresto.

easy fight for marquez. With a healthy shoulder he embarrasses Juwanna Lopez in front of his fans in Puto Rico, home of the kneeling quitters.

I told some Mexican fans on here that it was too early to count the chickens before they hatched. Yes, Mexico is having a good year but it could easily turn around this month and the next.

Props to Lopez but a rematch just isn't necessary.

i dont see the need for a rematch. If the fight had continued, Marquez probably would still have lost, and may even lose convincingly, based on the scorecards. This was the scorecard result.

The judges’ scores through 8 rounds:

                    Judge Raul Cais Sr gave Lopez rounds 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8 ( Lopez 77- Marquez 74)

Judge Duane Ford gave Lopez rounds 1,2,3,5,6,7, and 8 (Lopez 78 – Marquez 73)

Judge Dave Moretti gave Lopez rounds 1, 3, 5,6,7, and 8 (Lopez 77- Marquez 73)
