Juan Manuel Lopez has a glass jaw and deserved no credit for his win

That's right,he proved it again last night.Worst of all is that this fragile chin of his is getting exposed against mediocre opposition. He was knocked down very early in his career by a complete bum in Charles Jones;was out on his feet and in la-la land against journeyman just last year;got dropped heavy against a hurt fighter in Concepcion very early in their fight; And now a much older, much smaller shopworn fighter rocked him last night.

This is Puerto Rico's greatest hope? This is the pride of Puerto Rico? His ugly deformed face, with his creepy cackling laugh?

No worries, though.Congratulations to all Puerto Rico boxing fans.Hey,you never know, maybe one day you guys can pick up a significant win over a still fresh Mexican fighter.

Yet you prove once again why Jab banned you from the History section.

Only if the mods on here could do the same.

THis has to be the dumbest thread ever.

Damn man, you are so embarrassed. Just buy another flag already and give up! You can always masquerade as a Chilean or something.

I am a neutral in this whole rivalry.I just view this win as very cheap and not deserving of any credit whatsoever.Juan Manuel Lopez picked up a name on his resume that really shouldn't be on there.

The last two really significant fights in the Mexico-Puerto Rico rivalry have resulted in really two humiliating losses for Puerto Rico.Margarito and Segura had everything stacked against them;yet they beat the odds and won with honor.Lopez can't say the same.

dude prime versus prime is a very rare coincidence in boxing.

only thing I wasnt happy was in the 4th round when that hyped referee loser took away 1 point from JuanMa and indirectly was giving him a long break after Marquez got him hurt.

              You do,clearly.

I have no respect or tolerance for these type of matchups. It's garbage like this that hurt the sports credibility.People will treat this win as if it means something,as if Marquez was somehow a credible challenger in the first place.

Marquez isn't just past his prime,he's washed up.Not only is he washed up as a fighter, but he's also a part-time fighter.Top Rank picked up an old part-timer for a cheap win and a name on the younger fighters resume.

Good thread. Lopez gets nothing from me.

Rafa was clearly too small for the weight on top of being old and shopworn.

                Fact.

How does he have a glass jaw? He showed last night he could take some big shots, he was practically shaken them off at times. I'll give credit Lopez for the win but Lopez fans shouildn't get carried away with it, it was the expected result in fairness. Lopez proved his worth even if Marquez was past prime or not.

you have to admit it was a really entertaining fight.............young fighters need these kind of fights to get tested and also to have some names on their resume.

fighters like Marquez usually expose the flaws of the young rising fighters...thats whats up

VW2 v Hernandez is another of 1000 of these young v old types of fight.
