this myth about matthysse giving up the early rounds is hilarious...id gladly get hit with one of them pitty pat jabs zab was landing...but i wouldt want to take those clean straight rights matthysse landed to the body....HBO is at fault for this whole close fight deal...they were riding Judah hard until Matthysse started kicking his ass....

Zab didnt win by landing the best punches, he won with fancy footwork, jabbing into the air all night and not getting knocked out.

I think judah won a close fight. Matthysse gave up too many early rounds and even though he won rds 10-12 IMO 30-26 still wasn't enough to win.

Like I said yestreday, it is clear that you are scoring this fight the way you want and not by the rules. Although you minimize what zab did those jabs that landed were clean and his "fancy footwork" was defense and ring generalship.

The judges awarded the rounds to zab as they should've according to the rules.

The rules say effective punching. Lucas' punches were much more effective then Judah's pitty patty jabs, which missed anyway. Its that simple. That fancy footwork is called running and what defense? Zab was getting hammered with power punches all night long. lucas had a much better defense

I posted how the judges are required to score a fight and reminded you that what you label "pitty pat" and "running" is actually clean punching, defense and ring generalship that make up 3/4ths of what judges are required to use to score a fight.

Thats why you have jabs winning tho, he landed 87 jabs, even tho Lucas landed 150 power punches. But somehow Judahs jab won the fight?

He won the fight based on defense is an even bigger joke. What defense? Jucas hammered Judah all night and had a better defense then judah! Effective punching is 95% of the scoring, thats how you win a fight. A guy with more effective punching automatically has a better defense in the round. Defense is comprised off of offense, otherwise Clottey had a better defense in his fight with Margarito and Pac, because they both missed like 1000 punches

Yes lucas won his fight with Judah based on just power punches, because his power punches were the effective punches that won rounds, its simple. It may be different for a feather fist like Paulie but if a guy like Lucas is buzzing you every time he lands power punch, its more effective then a pitty patty jab
