i thought mattyhsse's corner held him back too much in the begining. zab wasn't doing enough for them to be so cautious. also when zab landed power punches it didn't really faze mattyhsse. i thought mattyhsse won a close fight though. landed more punches & scored a knockdown & won the last three rounds.

Check the punch stats. Matthyse outlanded Judah with power punches. And you say clean shots.

Matthyse didn't have a single mark on his face after the fight. So, I am not sure if they were that clean or that many.

I agree Donovan. But I think alot of that had to do with this being Matthyse's biggest fight. He was probably nervous. And, the fact that Matthyse had never really been that deep in the fight might have had them cautious about going all out.

I think there is this air of subjectivity in the way boxing is scored. And it's killing the sport.

I would say about 50% of the decisions are bad.

We are so accustomed to it that a close fight that goes to the wrong person is acceptable.

and iv seen a good amount of robberies in mma rampage-ninja shogun-machida bisping-hamill to name a few.
once again the fight was really close and you can make a case for either fighter

im talking about rounds 1-9 reread my post. Lucas only landed 15 more shots than zab, and thats because of his 2 big rounds (10, 11)
Zabs damage to his face were caused by headbutts not punches

I didnt see the fight and will judge it with my own eyes. However, nothing pisses me off more than when the judges rob a fighter. Like when the judges robbed Clottey against Cotto, that **** pisses me off and I wanted to say **** YOU TO THOSE JUDGES!

Rampage vs Rua? Rua knocked Rampage out. And ok, yeah, Rua did lose a controversial decision against Machida.

And I didn't say there weren't any controversial decisions in MMA, I said they pale in comparison to boxing.

Maybe 50% was too much.

But it definitely happens more than it should.

If I had to make a list of controversial decisions in boxing I'd have to make time to sit here for a week to name all of the fights.

Who Cares...

Who cares?!?! Boxing and MMA are two totally different sports. How they are scored or fought shouldn't even be debated. It was a close fight that could've gone either way. The only reason people should be complaining is if either fighter won a decision by a large and unreasonable score like 117-110 or something like that.

Cotto-Clottey was in no way in hell a robbery. Thers always a group of people who cry robbery when the fight was close. Its kinda funny

Well you have to understand that there are more boxing fights compared to mma and has been around over a century longer. Yes Ninja rua was robbed when he fought rampage....not shogun...ninja, shoguns brother. Give mma some time, it will be just as, or more corrupt than boxing. sad but true

Well, if you're a boxing fan you will make comparisons with MMA. I get into arguments with MMA tools all the time. They always bad mouth boxing, and I am always defending it. And I like MMA too, and there certain positive elements MMA has that boxing can learn from.

To say who cares to a sport like MMA that is growing and growing and maybe eclipse boxing one day is ignorant.
