With Martinez in front of him, Paul needs to say "no comment" when asked about facing another opponent. Furthermore, if Paul get's past Martinez and that's a big if, Floyd would chew his ass up. I like Paul but I'm a huge fan of the tall fighter (Hearns, Lewis, Klitchskos, etc) that know how to fight tall. Paul's mistakes, amateurism and lack of a big punch would be his total undoing against a ring master like Floyd. I think a long, hard jab is an important weapon to defeat Floyd but that's not PW, He makes fights harder than they should be by fighting down to his opponents level which will at some point be his undoing. Good fight to see but once Floyd get's going he will shut Paul down. Way too many skills for Paul.

The winner of Margarito vs Pac and the winner of Paul vs Martinez will be great for Mayweather. I see Mayweather beating any of those fighters right now. FLoyd wont lose until he is washed up and i think he got about 2 good more years left in him. thats just M.O.Comment

Haymon's a manager and Arum's a promotor so they have different points of view. I don't mean to say Haymon is holding up that fight either. I see how that could be misconstrued. Floyd will get what Floyd wants.Comment

I made a comment about PW calling out smaller fighters in another thread. I honestly believe he has to test himself by calling out fighters of his size.
With a height of 6'2", Paul is considered extremely tall for the three divisions he campaigns in: welterweight, jr. middleweight and middleweight.
all the fighters he fought and defeated are small such as Winky Wright, Sergio Martínez, Kermit Cintron, Carlos Quintana, Antonio Margarito.
He’s been calling out smaller fighters such as Pac and Floyd. Floyd is 5'8' while Pac is 5'6" compare that to PW's 6'2" height.
I hope he calls out legit fighters in Super middleweight, Light heavyweight, Cruiserweight, and even Heavyweight.
Boxing fans should encourage PW to test himself in those divisions.
Until he does so, my assestment... "waste of talent."
Just my opinion.Comment

Floyd does have the mind of a Genius thats why he hasnt done it yet. He waits until these bums get their name big then he beats them. Thats when everyone says "Floyd is picking his fights", "fights that he knows he can win". If you think Carlos Q can beat Williams but Floyd cant please do us all a favor and shut your account down.
Who has Paul Beat that made him top contender? Mitchel? yeah Floyd stopped him with a body shot. Margarito? the guy he struggled with? Old shane whooped his ass and Floyd whooped his ass. Let me guess, Paul beat an old winky wright who was retired for 2 years, that makes him dangerous?
Wasnt Kermit the cry baby landing clean shots on Paul until the fall out happened? Paul aint **** trust me. He is 6'2 fighting at middle weight. Since he thinks everyone is scared of him, why not call out Ward? Dirrell? and Froch? those guys will end Pauls career right now without even training. Abraham would cave Pauls chest in!Comment

Thats what i've been saying this whole time. People on boxingscene have no clue about boxing. One min its Floyd only fights smaller guys & floyd is a small man himself standing 5'7. Then they say its okay for Paul to fight little guys when he is 6'2 and fighting at middle weight. The guy isnt the most feared, trust me. All paul has to do is call out Ward, Dirrell, Froch, Abraham etc and if those guys duck him (Which i doubt) then his the most feared. But starving himself to fight at a light weight cuz your ducking dudes your size is crazy. Paul will get his head knocked off his shoulders if he chooses to fight those guys his size.I made a comment about PW calling out smaller fighters in another thread. size doesn't matter. Boxing is about weight not height,
according to them. Me, these size differences in fights
don't appeal to me personally. But why not? My old man
just showed me that classic Hagler vs Hearns fight. Oh my,
that was one of the best fights I've seen in boxing.Comment

Roger has made it clear that neither Paul or Sergio are in Floyd's future plans, and obviously they are weary about fighting bigger southpaws who pose threats for several reasons. At the same time though, Haymon fighters- Floyd, Williams, and Berto can all make 147-154 but not only have we not (and will not) seen them fight one another, the subject hasn't even come up unless Paul is looking to take on Floyd.
Haymon has no interest in keeping things in-house because whoever loses from his stable loses their value. He'd rather get his fighters big paydays for easy matches, the lone exception being HBO more or less forcing the Martinez rematch... but HBO made it up to Al with the ridiculous Berto payday to fight a random guy.Comment

Let me tell, boxing is about size, weight including height which can be an advantage. A guy who naturally weighs 180 like Carlos Baldomir and are capable of making the weight of 147 can hydrate back to 160 over night. they can take punches from a lighter fighter cuz naturally their bone structure etc can absorb the blows. A fighter like Paul Williams who is a natural middle weight trying to fight at a smaller weight will hurt himself draining the weight. He takes a chance on being weak but he can eat punches without getting ko'd. BUt when he fights at his regular weight and takes a middle weight punch from say martinez he went down. Paul cant take a punchers punch thats why he goes down in weight and takes the little guys punch...Well, if you listen to many veteran posters in these forums

With the exception of Floyd being 5'8 1/2", I agree with this post. Paul's whole promotional angle was being 'the most feared/avoided man in boxing' and his whole saga with the Martinez rematch has exposed that as bull****- he was reluctant to sign on and wanted to go midget hunting at 147 instead, asked for a catchweight despite being 6'2" to Martinez's 5'10". That whole 'most avoided' thing is a joke now.Thats what i've been saying this whole time. People on boxingscene have no clue about boxing. Not to mention Paul is completely overrated with limited skills and is easier to hit than Margarito. I think Pac would dispose of him worse than Quintana did, Paul is susceptible to southpaws and one as fast, mobile, and strong as Manny at 147=brutal KO loss for Paul. A Floyd fight might be interesting depending on May's strategy, if he plans on laying against the ropes in his shell and being purely defensive... he'll be overwhelmed like Winky Wright was. You have to take the fight to him and keep him off balance, which isn't hard since his footwork is garbage.Comment
if only jr had the mind of a genius like u then he would have done it huh??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA u r funny bro i give u that
