According to the quote he does actually admit that his head has gotten physically bigger, but he remains spiritually humble. It can't get any clearer than that. There's no need for spin doctoring.

On the other hand, he could've simply said: "I don't think my head has physically gotten any bigger, I just don't let my ego swell my head."
