Can't remember which fight I was watching, but after clearly making a bad stop to a fight the entire crowd started yelling "REF, YOU SUCK! REF, YOU SUCK!" Cole just stood in the corner while the cameras focused their attention on him, holding the ropes like "Damn, I suck!".
You know he's gotta be bad if he can get an entire crowd of fans to chant YOU SUCK!
Laurence Cole SUCKS! But hey, if Marlon B. Wright can still be reffing - nothing surprises me.

hers a lil article about cole' s crooked ass, i hope they get rid of sons of bithces like this guy....

        By Kevin Perry

It’s no secret that referee Laurence Cole made a huge mistake as the referee for Juan Manuel Marquez’s last bout on HBO versus Jimrex Jaca.

Late in the fight after an accidental clash of heads that left Marquez with a nasty cut over his eye, Laurence Cole told Marquez that he was ahead on the cards. This has caused a bit of controversy because Cole had no right to tell the fighter he was ahead, and how did he know the score of the contest? This blunder could lead the Texas State of Liscencing and Regulation to suspend Laurence Cole.

I have observed a number of Coles fights and from my observation Cole has been incompetent in a number of bouts. He makes crucial errors in fights and finally he will be held accountable. Referees who make crucial errors yet continue to be assigned big fights are a scar to the game. The same accountability should be applied to judges who score unfavorable decisions. Laurence Cole is pretty incompetent, but one thing he does consistently that I like is the way breaks clinches. He physically removes the arm of a fighter who's holding. If Pacquiao gets hurt or is exhausted, he's done.

**** Cole, I hear is one of the most corrupt pieces of scum
in boxing a racist "good old boy" and his son is a nice kid but
sucks as a ref. If it's all true I guess the Cole's will have a
nice Christmas after approving Pacquiao-Margarito. $$$$$

True, but it could be a very essential asset in this fight.
