not necessarily. You need to be quite technical and slick. Amir possesses both of these so IN YOUR FACE
Y Amir Has No Chance. U Need A Chin To Beat A Puncher...

Nobody, not even Pacquiao is immune to a punch when you walk into it. It is like two inetias hitting you, your weight plus your opponent`s combined. Yes it was a lucky punch, but it only happened once.
Now, under the guidance of Hall of Famer, Freddie Roach, I go with Khan on this one. I think Maidana is too small and over-hyped as Ortiz was.Comment

The fact is Amir did not walk into any punch.Nobody, not even Pacquiao is immune to a punch when you walk into it. It is like two inetias hitting you, your weight plus your opponent`s combined. Yes it was a lucky punch, but it only happened once.

The first punch hit Amir on the top of the head. It wasn't a flush chin shot by any means. Amir was completely rocked by Prescott. The 2nd punch was the left hook that Amir always seems to get caught with.
Amir has been rocked in the ammies numerous times. He has been down against less stellar opponents in the past as well.
Marcos will be the hardest hitter Amir's ever faced. And Marcos is a high activity fighter. Amir will get tagged and he will go down. It is a matter of when.Comment

To add fuel to the firestorm. Marcos is about as unorthodox as they come. He throws his punches with off-timing. They may not look fast or blazing to you but a lot of them are very well placed in amidst of wild looping haymakers.
Like when he ran up to Ortiz near the end of the 5th round. He runs up with the peakaboo and just crouches forward like he was going to throw. But he stays there and just looks at Ortiz for a second, and just as Ortiz opened up..... he threw a right straight that rocked Ortiz bad.
You can't train for **** like that.Last edited by Rassclot; 11-03-2010, 10:01 AM.Comment

I'm betting on Maidana to win.
I think Khan will work his jab and get the UD. Gonna be cagey night and a frustrating night for Maidana.Comment

What "IF" Amir finds Maidana's chin before he gets hit with something big? Seriously this fight could end in the early rounds. Amir has some serious speed with some good power and Maidana doesn't have a David Tua type of chin anyway, he can get hurt. I'm not saying Amir will win this fight but I can honestly see Amir hurt Maidana and finish him in the early rounds. Maidana can punch but I'm not all that impressed with him and I think he's quite overrated on this site.Comment

Khan needs to learn to duck like Bradley, does and then **** with a right, but he will win regardless.Comment

In Maidana's world, that is actually not a bad thing.
I hope Marcos gets dropped. He can not be 1 punched by Khan. Khan doesn't have Victor Ortiz type of 1 shot power.
Marcos is the MOST dangerous when he gets dropped. He has been dropped in the past, but that is when he lulls his opponents in. He has great recovery. Victor hit him with some vicious hooks with all his weight behind them. Ortiz came to finish and got finished.
This other kid dropped him in the past and got KOed within 30 seconds of dropping Maidana as well.Comment

read post above ^^^
Maidana has a very good chin. I have never seen him seriously hurt or wobbled. He's been dropped by flush shot from Ortiz(harder hitter than Khan) but every time he got up he was fresh.
When Ortiz got dropped he was walking all slanted and wobbly.
Amir Khan becomes a baby giraffe after he gets dropped.Comment
