Amir has been matched up with favorable opponents ever since his loss to Prescott.

He is lucky there aren't that many heavy hitters at 140 lbs. Marcos Maidana, however, is a puncher's puncher. He is the best puncher of this era next to only Edwin Valero. He has KO's with both hands. KO's to the body. KO's to the head. Accumulation TKO's. KO's where his opponent just straight up fainted or quit from the damage.

He is at the point where he doesn't need a well-placed shot as he throws with so much power. He can land anywhere and it will have an effect.


Kind of reminds me of a young George Foreman. Little finesse. Not the best defense. 2 left feet. But relentless pressure with God given power.

Was Ken Norton more skilled than George? Ya....He beat Ali twice(he was robbed the 2nd time).. what happened when he faced big george??


Chin is the most important thing in a fight against a power puncher. Even Mayweather got caught against a mumified Mosley with no PED's. Mayweather has a tremendous chin. Amir doesn't. Period. Let's not forget Mosley only had 2 rounds in him. Against Maidana, he will throw for 12 rounds, Marcos will find that face more than once. Amir won't be able to take it.

I really don't get the overblown "lack of chin" stuff from Khan. Yea, he got SMOKED, so, that raises concerns of a suspect chin, and he hasn't fought any huge punchers since, but he DOES spar with Pac, and he has grown into himself A LOT since that KO loss... I mean, maybe he doesnt have a granite chin, but I'd be willing to bet its not glass like everyone thinks

I really dont see Khan winning this fight, Not just because of his chin but because Maidana is a fighter who throws mostly power punches, I just feel like one of them would land and KO Khan, Khan has the tools to outbox Maidana No doubt but can he do that for 12 rounds without getting caught? For 12 rounds you will get cracked. Amir is not Pernell Whitaker. Pernell actually has a very good chin along with his tremendous defense.


If you watch boxing you'll know. People get hit. Amir will still get hit 5 times every round if he really sticks to running and defending. For 12 rounds, one of those will put him down.


Once he goes down, he'll be finished. Maidana is the most efficient closer in the game.

best fighter in the world with headgear and big gloves on. Means nothing without a chin. Anyone with eyes can see Amir has a soft chin. It's not even suspect at this point.


did you see Tyson vs Henry Tillman? Tillman beat Tyson twice in the amatures with headgear and big gloves.
