I don't understand how politics works in the Phillies.

Is it true what Freddie says, that Manny's political career will be affected if he loses vs Margarito? Surely that can't be right? He is a legend, why would one fight, way up there at jmw, have such an impact?

Shane ripped Margarito a new assshole when they fought, and then cheato got banned for 12 months..... yet it didn't negatively affect his career at all.

    That sounds pretty unfair.
Hey Lead. Roach basically said to Pac, "you're nothing if you don't win, your intellect doesn't count!" It is a massive insult to Pac, but I don't think Pac has the braincells to process that comment, hence The Silence. And Roach is too proud/condescending/white to realize how much of an insult is that.
In a way, roach is right. People here in the Philippines only vote for people with money, popularity, goons and never about ideals/platform/wisdom, in which pac is clearly lacking.

Exactly, my friend. only that it won't happen, when Pac loses, in the near future, as that would be a very bad business move for Arum. A lose for Pac , isn't just gonna affect Pac but a disaster for Arum as well. One word. Cashcow. I mean, c'mon, do you really think Pac can sing? or act? or lead the people from debilitating consequences from the corrupt world of Philippine politics?

            From what I read, he's a superstar.....
            singing / acting / boxing / politics / lion-taming

The country basically stops for a Manny fight.

Freddies comments seem extreme, that's all I'm saying.

            I was wondering.....
            * why would he say that?
            * how would he know?
            * if it was simple motivation, wouldn't Manny be more aware of the consequences back home than Freddie?

I just wondered about the accuracy, and couldn't see the point that Freddie was making.

The way i see it, its one of those things where a person would say something from out of the blue, without much thought.

Apparently, Pac thought nothing out of it, but some people are reading too much into this.

The way i see it, Pac has his time to prove himself as a congressman. If he keeps his promises (he's already initiating the construction of a hospital in sarangani, which was one of them) and delivers in his job, then most likely he'd succeed in his run in politics.

One loss would not trump that.

Those *****s who claim to love this sport really shouldn't be wishing Pacquiao to lose, cheaters shouldn't be able to redeem themselves in this sport.

Even if some of those *****s think Pacquiao is juicing when he most likely is not, nothing is worse than being caught with plaster in your hand-wraps by ****m Richardson.

Look at this fucking idiot. Crying someone might get redemption but praises Mosley cause he got his redemption. Red K fucktard.

That makes good sense. Maybe it was just an off-hand comment by Freddie, or even slightly tongue-in-cheek.
