Roach tryna build some buzz for this ****** fight by implying manny isnt 100% ready, i think manny at 70% still knocks out that walking zombie margacheato. . . lets see how long his chin last, he no longers has the plaster to bail him out.

i was watching a documentary on HBO called "Assault in the Ring" its about the 1983 fight between Luis Resto and Billy Collins. . Resto's corner before the fight took the padding out of his gloves and put plaster in his wraps. . for 12 rounds , Collins took a brutal beating, he couldnt fight anymore after that , he was only 21 yrs old and was undefeated. . Resto and his trainer both served jail time each did like 2 yrs, Resto could never fight again. . Bob Arum said "Luis deserved to be banned for life, that was de****able"... but now hes giving a major fight to a lowlife who committed the same crime.

Resto said the same thing Marg is sayin "i didnt know what he was doing to my wraps" then he confessed and said he knew later on in the show.

i hope Pacquiao retires that cheater for good. . even though i want Cotto to get his rematch, this time no plaster involved

Those *****s who claim to love this sport really shouldn't be wishing Pacquiao to lose, cheaters shouldn't be able to redeem themselves in this sport.

Even if some of those *****s think Pacquiao is juicing when he most likely is not, nothing is worse than being caught with plaster in your hand-wraps by ****m Richardson.

I only ask because the just like testing the commission has it's own rules for fining fighters for being overweight. Same **** different toilet!!!

This ****** **** can back and forth all day. No fighter is bigger than the commission but anything can be asked for in a negotiation. No fighter has to agree to anything they don't like simple as that. PBF and Manny have both showed boxing that!!!
two diff things my friend...the 10 mill per pound is for the contract bet floyd and manny....blood testing is a commision standard..u cant put the two in one sentence....

I really think the whole congressman business is a sorry state of affairs. Look at the income of the average Filipino, its not exactly Hong Kong over there is it?

I have a lot of respect for how the Filipino people got rid of Marcos but this love affair with Manny is quite likely to eat them up inside. I find it quite sinister that a sportsman, a boxer, is elected to an office like this with no opposition.

He may be loved today but I would like to know what he has done for the Phillipines (in government and off his own bat) other than make Freddie Roach a Filipino citizen.

And I'm not saying this to hate on Manny. I'm just asking and hoping someone can set me right on the political work he is doing.
Can some of you guys answer me this instead of letting this thread get hijacked into a Pac/May thread....Please?

My point is on topic and I'm quite curious what people's views are on Manny the Congressman and how his political career weighs against his boxing career.

It must be difficult to manage boxing, politics, and a family simultaneously, but Manny doesn't seem to mind at all.

I don't understand how politics works in the Phillies.

Is it true what Freddie says, that Manny's political career will be affected if he loses vs Margarito? Surely that can't be right? He is a legend, why would one fight, way up there at jmw, have such an impact?

Shane ripped Margarito a new assshole when they fought, and then cheato got banned for 12 months..... yet it didn't negatively affect his career at all.

                    That sounds pretty unfair.

It's not as much about who pac endorses in the US, it's how much the guy knows about politics. Rightwing neocons who run industries like banks, phamaceuticals-health insurance, military-industrial-congressional complex, etc., on one side vs the rest of the world, what does he know? How can Pac, who is a very conservative person at the deepest level, support a Dem? maybe only in the issue immigration that they can agree with.
