    [QUOTE]
In an of itself, HBO’s decision had a credible basis. Marco Antonio Rubio (who Pavlik finally fought) is a solid journeyman; nothing more. But Rubio and several other opponents that HBO turned down for Pavlik were as credible as the competition that Andre Berto has fought. And unlike Berto, Pavlik had earned a breather by going in tough against Hopkins, Edison Miranda, and Jermain Taylor (twice) in four of his previous five fights. Also, Pavlik had proven himself to be a far bigger attraction than Berto. There were those who thought that HBO was putting the squeeze on Top Rank to make it difficult for the promoter to meet its contractual obligations to Pavlik. That way, when the Pavlik-Top Rank contract expired, Kelly might sign with Golden Boy.[/QUOTE

Right. So HBO doesn't buy Rubio-Pavlik because HBO wants Pavlik to sign with Golden Boy. Nevermind they bought Pavlik Lockett and dog **** like that.

FAO Hauser, HBO buys **** fights when the fighters are undefeated. They buy crap fights for Berto because he's undefeated. Yes they overpay him, but where is your article criticzing showtime for paying Bute 2 million a fight if he signs with them? Hmmm??

What richard schaffer says to hauser later on is right on the money. Hauser tries to make one big conspriacy theory out of everything. He tried with the New York Venue and earlier in the year tried to do with it the 750k for Ortiz Campbell.

    They are just baseless claims.

and if they had the money-relationships GBP has cultivated, they would do the same..
maybe. but he's the only one writing about this. The point is no promoter should get the position GBP currently has.

The contract is fine. but they are twisting too many arms.

Some fights need to happen Hauser with big exposure. Wlad vs Adamek could be one of those. It's a great showcase with lots of energy from the fans.
Adamek could be just his preference. But he's correct that HBO spends unnecessary amounts of money which is the actual point.

          This was for part 1

Berto and Dawson getting big paydays againts mediocre opponents is not a source for you? cmon.

Yes, we get it. He's said it for the last 3 years. Every year the bull**** spews. He brings up a good point about a lot of the 2010 HBO fights I wouldn't want to rewatch, but then he lists **** like "Well they need to have more adamek...but not against Wlad"

Haymon clearly has some pull, but Mr. David has stated it well when it comes to him here.
