This fight is similar to Juanma-Marquez in that Segura is young and has his legs and Calderon has a lot of mileage. Lopez is young and fresh and Marquez has the mileage. The styles are different but circumstances are close.
Yeah but theres a huge difrence in that calderon is a pure boxer and never engaged in any toe to toe wars like marquez did in his career. Also that nobody had beaten calderon until segura and marquez has been koed before and doesnt have the greatest of all chins. And lol at the ricans who think calderon can win. They proably think he will ko segura too haha.

Below is a link to Denver Cuello's record.

      http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hum...1187&cat=boxer

Under "schedule" it has Cuello scheduled to Giovanni Segura on November 27, 2010. It also has Cuello scheduled to fight three weeks before. It has Cuello scheduled to fight this coming Friday.

Personally I wouldn't doubt there would be a plot behind all this. Ivan wins the next fight to set up a trilogy. Think about it, they are their biggest paydays. Especially in that weight class, there no other money to be made. Personally I don think Ivan can beat Segura, but money talks. They would probably double up or even triple in a tie breaking trilogy. I will still fancy Segura tko by 9

dam...I guess I'm going against the grain on this one....I got Calderon, I think he fought the WRONG fight the first time around and IMO he'll get it RIGHT this time.....since this is the type of thread that gets bumped AFTER the fight.....my post fight quote is "Calderon's right uppercut was on point"

            now let the future begin

It's all about money bro. Stop hating. Segura knows he makes more money in PR and he agreed to it so what's the big deal? He has other options but still down and he nothing but good things to say about fighting in PR. Segura is all class and so is Calderon. Don't stick your nose if you don't know what you are talking about.

                all 3 judges: puerto rican
                referee: puerto rican

that **** goes 12 rounds, they are going to give it to calderon. This fight is pointless though, nothing in the first fight was impressive on his part to be given a rematch.

This will be a great fight. Anybody who says otherwise is shameless.

And they were all unbiased in their job.

2 of the three judges had Segura winning with another having it a tie.

The ref kept it clean and allowed them to do their thing

It was a clean and effective job by all parties.

Calderon kept his back against the ropes, if he can keep the fight in the middle, I think he'll win. If not, he'll get put out again
