Based on his win over Miranda, Kessler or Green?

        Please explain.

Seems that only ginger limey slags are riding with Slappy on this one.

          Shocking revelation.

The only style that really has done well VS a Calzaghe who was focussed was Hopkins.

He neutralised the workrate, but in a very bad way and made boxing look so **** and boring.

Calz did have some close fights, and messy ones, but he often did not train hard for the names that were not big. He was motivated for the big names, even though some say he ducked a few fights too.

Anyway Ward could beat Joe, but honestly, Joe could easily work Ward out, while I don't think Ward could work Joe out. Ward can hug etc... but Joe could really destroy a fighters style and make them uncomfortable and fight a way they don't want to.

which is exactly what ward can do. Just imagine if hopkins was younger and had more stamina & intensity.

i see ward doing the same type of thing about joe, making it an ugly dirty fight but the difference would be finishing hard unlike hopkins who ran out of steam in the late rounds.

Ward still has a lot more improvement to do and a lot more experience to gain to be considered in his prime.

but would calzaghe's slaps offset ward's tremendous skill and generalship? Probably not.. it would be the other way around. Unless the ref stops the fight from a slap flurry.

Ward would take this. It wouldn't be pretty but he has been looking like BHop jr lately
