Was Floyd Mayweather A Wasted Talent?

Just a simple question really. Mayweather had the skills and talent to really leave his mark on the boxing world. I feel he let himself down as well as his fans. Just my opinion here. Really sad waste of skills and talent. Poll coming up.

I believe he had the talent and charisma to be the GOAT. The fact that he will not be considered the greatest at the end of his career is, in a way, a waste. He still had a great career. Not hating.

I wouldn't go that far. He's fought a lot of top guys, still has the time to fight more.

i think hes done great given the mentality that he has......he's not pushing himself to do greater things maybe coz he knows his limits...he has ducked fights for his own good imo!

Floyd is not a total waste, but he did piss off some prime years when he retired and didn't face the best at 147.

Still an ATG in my opinion, but he is about 30 spots lower than his talent and skill would indicate.

I agree with you. He retired in his prime when the top guys at his weight were fighting each other. It really is a shame.
