For once I have to disagree with Tunney.

Vitali had the best performance of the month.

Shannon Briggs is a 2 time world heavyweight champ. He was the last American heavyweight champ. He was in great shape, very motivated and was extremely confident.

Vitali dominated every second of every round. It was a massacre. The fight should have been stopped. The judges gave Vitali three 10-8 rounds. It was an entertaining one-sided beatdown.

Vitali is almost 40 and is well past his physical prime. He is older than Briggs.

I agree that Prime Vitali KOs any version of Briggs.

That was a fairly competitive fight for the first 6 rounds, but in each round after that Vasquez was dominating more and more, breaking him down.

      Excellent performance.

I was trying to decide between Lenny Zappavigna and Luis Conception, and finally decided on Zappavigna.

Zappa has really arrived on the world boxing scene with that 1st round destruction of Kim, much the same way Brandon Rios made a statement last month with his win over Peterson.

          Gotta go with Nishioka.

Very good win against a solid opponent.

Luis Concepcion was the most impressive for me, he simply demolished Kaovichit, who is a very good fighter. I think the guy could be better than the Kamedas and Pong, would definitely like to see him fight one of them.

Nishioka a close second, very good win against Munroe and surprised a lot of people by how easy he made it look, including me, definitely a career performance.

And yeah, Vitali deserves to be on the list.

I have to say, I was very impressed how easy Lenny Zappavigna dealt with Kim.

Kim is no world beater, but is very tough and could punch. I was expecting a war between him & Zappavigna. But Zappavigna just destroyed him with ease, and showed some real power.

              Very impressive.

You're right, he should be. I was trying too hard to make an unbiased poll, so I left out one of my favorite fighters who should be there.

Yes. He showed himself to be an excellent all-round boxer, and an especially skillful body puncher. I don't know how Monroe managed to endure the pain from those body shots and stay on his feet.
