This like Moore's third retirement. Plus, I lost respect for him after he slammed Foreman for his loss.
Atlas changes Michael Moorer's decision on the spot on FNF

I think it goes beyond Teddy owning him.. It reveals Moorer has no direction in his life. He can be led around by stronger personalities then himself... This was also revealed in some of his fights where it looked like he lost interest and was about to give up... Teddy was there to give him great inspiration and direction, with out this Moorer would just another pug fighting to surviveOriginally posted by finesseTechnically Atlast just owned him.

People here are just harsh. If the man you respected most in the sport, and the guy who was there to pick you up when you needed it, told you he didn't want to see you fight anymore, wouldn't you do the same thing?
Teddy said he wanted to see him go out the right way. Moorer wasn't set in his ways yet, he said he was THINKING about returning but he wasn't sure. Teddy just confirmed that he didn't want to see him get hurt. Why is it so wrong to heed the advice?
If he would have said he was going to continue fighting, you guys would have criticized him for that too. There's just no pleasing some people.Comment

It's called respect for your trainer. Your trainer in boxing is supposed to be your brain and be faithful to him if he is faithful back. He knows Atlas knows his **** and isnt some 3rd rate guy just carrying a water bucket for a fighter to spit in. So it is probably best if he listened to the suggestion Atlas made.Comment

No **** dude. All these whiners on here, "He can't make up his own mind", "He got owned", etc. blah blah blah. Let's bash the man for taking a friend's advice and using his head. Grow the **** up.Originally posted by StealthicPeople here are just harsh. Yeah but it seemed TOO convenient. Atlas said retire and without hesitating he said, "I'll retire."
Then he immediately went to hyping life after boxing: training. He made up his mind that quick that was he going to train just after deciding to retire?

I respect Moore more if he respects Atlas to that degree to just retire after Atlas thought he should do that. But I just thought it was made for the cameras. Teddy has been saying this for a while about Moore, but I guess it really hit when Moore was a co-host on FNF. Thats my problem.Comment
