Atlas changes Michael Moorer's decision on the spot on FNF

It was just weird, ex-heavyweight champ Michael Moorer is special guest in the ESPN boxing studio tonight on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights and was talking the whole first hour about how he was going to come back to boxing, get two prelim fights in, then go after some top 20 guys in the division.

Then, just now, ESPN had Michael Moorer talk to former trainer and ESPN analyst Teddy Atlas in between fights. Teddy said he didn't want Moorer fighting again and thought he would make a great trainer. Moorer immediately changed his mind and said he'd officially retire and become a full-time trainer.

I just thought it was interesting that the whole thing played out right in front of the fans watching at home. Good decision tho on Moorer's part, he's a smart guy.

That was just great to watch, how Atlas and Moorer mutually respected each other, and everything unfolded in front of the camera, just amazing. Nevertheless, Moorer did the right thing to confirm his retirement.

      Very Wise

Yes , of course! I do hope that Moorer keeps to this decision though.

it has nothing to do with that, if he had a mind then he wouldnt fight
it shows how much moorer respects atlas, and his opionoin

Moorer retired 4 months ago, remember when he was supposed to fight Fres O and then backed out of the fight and retired.

I will always rememba Moorer as ta guy that gave George Foreman ta opportunity to make millions wit ta trademark George Foreman Grills. LOL! If Moorer had beaten George...............I dunno how I would cook ma food today. I'd probably end up cookin ma sunny side egg on ta pavement parking lot. nyahahahahaha!

All that maybe true but the fact is that no fighter has all that planned out and then changes his mind. I guarantee you that in a few days or maybe tonight he changes his mind back

This **** was a ****ing set up I swear! Moorer retire 4 months ago, he was supposed to fight Fres O and he backed out of the fight and retired, even Atlas mentioned it on a previous FNF. He claimed he was going to start managing right after he retired. That was a set up for the sake of putting on a good show for the viewers.
