B-Hop ruined Pavlik's career. After he got thoroughly dominated, he blamed it on being sick a couple weeks before the fight.
Now, he doesn't want to fight while being alied by anything... But that **** is close to impossible!!!!!!!!!!! It's almost impossible not to get some soreness or pain after a ****ing rigorous training camp. 4-6 miles for 6 days a week, over 100 rounds of sparring, and the usual pad, bag, ab work training routine.
Of course you're likely going to catch something with that schedule. A bruised rib sucks (if it's real at all, he could be struggling to make weight), but if he stopped sparring, but kept up training, in 2 weeks time he's good to go. He would've knocked Vera out in the early/mid rounds easy. Pavlik is a head case and his team are a bunch of idiots.

Top Rank has wonderful luck don't they? It must be KARMA
all the bad things that continue to happen to them personally
as well as professionally, between Arum, Trampler, Moretti and
Dubouef just imagine the bad vibes coming out of that office....

Hopkins ruined Pavlik. If those drinking rumors are true, I wonder, is that when he developed the problem? Seems like everything that has transpired after that fight for Pavlik is related to that loss. Everything that guy does and says is su****ious and he and his team always have some excuse.
I really hope the guy doesn't have a problem with booze or anything else and if he does I hope he takes time off to get better. Either way however I think Pavlik is done in boxing.

Pavlik never pulled out of fights with injuries like this early on in his career. Looks like he has been hanging out with the legend Joe Calzaghe.
